Lemkywolf Guitars offers expert and reliable service for all fretted instruments. From setups and repairs, to modifications and restorations. Custom builds and assemblies, as well as consultation and consignment services.

    • Current instrument service lead time can vary, and more intensive jobs may necessitate more time. Please contact me to find out expected lead times. Some small fixes (output jack issues, restringing, etc.) can often be completed in a shorter time frame, and I try to accommodate clients who need instruments for shows and tours, lessons, etc, and those coming from out of town. I'll do my best to get the job done right and in favorable time.

    • All services reflect labor costs only. Parts (including strings) are additional. Prices listed are general estimates, and will be quoted further upon inspection, if necessary.

SET-UPS

Lemkywolf Guitars can setup your guitar to play better than ever, to meet your needs and playing style. Each instrument's setup is thoroughly carried out to ultimate tone, performance and playability.

  • A complete setup includes restring (strings not included), hardware check/tighten/lubrication, clean and condition fingerboard, polish frets, clean guitar, all adjustments to truss rod/nut slots/saddle(s), intonation, pickup height adjustment, tremolo adjustment, electronics check and clean, replace battery if needed (battery not included), full inspection and play test.

    Acoustic setup: $90

    Electric or bass setup: $110

    Locking tremolo setup: $160

    12 string acoustic setup: $150

    Please enquire for rates on resonator, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, lap steel and other instruments.

FRET WORK

Fretwork can make all the difference in how your instrument plays and feels. Lemkywolf Guitars can level and recrown your existing frets or if needed, refret your instrument using your preferred size and type of fret wire.

  • Please Note: A setup is required after fretwork, additional to the cost of the fretwork.

    Fret level & Crown:

    $150

    Level, crown, and polish.

    Partial Min. Fret Level,Dress and Crown:

    $80

    Refret, Unbound Neck:

    $400 +

    Remove existing frets, re-plane and dress fingerboard, glue and press in new frets, dress ends, level, crown and polish.

    Refret, Bound Neck:

    $500 +

    Remove existing frets, re-plane and dress fingerboard, glue and press in new frets, dress ends, level, crown and polish.

NUT & SADDLE

Every nut and saddle in the shop is handmade with the material of your choice.

  • Please Note: A setup is required after a new nut and/or saddle is installed, additional to the cost of the nut and saddle work.

    Bone Nut:

    $130 (12-String - $190)

    Bone Saddle:

    $100 - $150

    Glued In Thru-Saddle:

    $185

WIRING, ELECTRONICS, & PICKUPS

Need a new input jack, potentiometer or rewire? Lemkywolf guitars has you covered, from simple fixes to complex wiring customizations. Pickup installations and upgrades, through to parts replacement and wiring harnesses.

  • Please Note: There are many wiring services available, based on the varied fixes and work required. Please contact me or make an appointment to discuss what is needed or desired. Services are often recommended and/or noted once the instrument is on the bench and further inspected.

    Acoustic Pickup Install:

    Electric pickup Install:

    1 pickup: $60 

    2 pickups: $90

    3 pickups: $120

    Install new wiring harness, solid body:

    $120 +

    Install new wiring harness, hollow or semi hollow:

    $240 +

STRUCTURAL REPAIRS

Ouch! Headstock breaks, big dings, cracked tops, lifting bridges and loose braces. Lemkywolf Guitars can help.

  • Please Note: All structural repairs are roughly quoted upon inspection. Any further work beyond the initial quote will be addressed and quoted before further work is undertaken. Finishing and finish touch-ups are quoted separate to repair costs.

    Bridge Re-Glue:

    $200

    Headstock Break Repair:

    $140 - $240  + setup

    Crack repair:

    $70 and up

    Brace repair:

    $70 and up

OTHER WORK

    • Detailed written appraisals can be provided and quoted based on research and work required in handling the instrument.

    • Guitar and amp rental to studios and recording musicians. Ask for list of instruments available, and pricing.

    • Consignment is available through my services. Ask for details and rates.
